Curtain hanging and accessories

It is not always easy to choose curtains, nor to choose the type of  hanging to have. We have created a guide to answer the most common questions about curtain hanging and its various accessories. Feel free to contact us here if you have more questions.

    PLASTIC CURTAIN HOOK

The plastic curtain hook, also called shrimp, is used for curtains with multi tape and is used to create folds. The hook is inserted into the small channels on the back of the multi tape curtain. Then hook it in the loop on the curtain rail or in a ring on a curtain rod.

    CURTAIN HOOK (LOW)

Just like with the plastic curtain hook, you create undulating folds in your curtain with this hook. If you use a low hook, you will hide the curtain rod because the upper edge of the curtain ends up higher than the hook that is hung in the loop on the curtain rod. The low hook is recommended for roof rails as the curtain reaches all the way up to the ceiling and therefore hides the rail. The hook creates three undulating folds in the curtain. If you want larger folds on your curtain, then skip one or more hems.

    CURTAIN HOOK (HIGH)

If you use a high hook instead, the curtain will end up at the top edge of the hook and then the curtain rod will be visible. The hook creates three undulating folds in the curtain. If you want larger folds on your curtain, then skip one or more hems.

    MULTI TAPE/CURTAIN TAPE

The multi tape, also called curtain tape, has several hanging functions in one and can be hung on all types of curtain rods. You can e.g. put a curtain rod through the channel on the multi-band, hang the curtain in hooks or put a curtain rod through the handles on the back to get the effect of a French folding band.

    EASY FIX BAND/FOLDING BAND

Easy fix band, also called folding band or fold fix, are used to shorten your curtains in a fast and efficient way. Fold your curtain to the desired length, then place the band between the fold and the curtain and iron. The tape will then melt and “glue” the fabric together. You do not have to use the sewing machine.
